“Green suggestion: Teach kids to eat locally and seasonally by putting them in charge of their own cherry tomato plant. These small tomatoes can grow in hangers, containers, or a small garden. Kids can harvest them easily and often, and with a few plants they can make an obvious contribution to dinner for the family.”
