(29) She Gives Useful Items a Second Life, Instead of a Trip To The Dump!

Sue had this wonderful suggestion that I have seen working in several churches and businesses in my area:

“I suggest that every workplace, school office, store, etc., set aside a small space for co-workers to bring in unwanted, but usable household items to pass along to one another… A “pay it forward” type of ongoing plan. I recently let our school community that I had an older stereo system that my daughter no longer wanted, and instantly, 2 or 3 co-workers at the  school I teach said they wanted it for someone. As we down-size our home, I plan to continue offering all sorts of items that my family can  no longer use. I wish there was a space dedicated at the school for everyone to contribute, or retrieve items, as they become available.”
