(19) They Turn Juice Pouches Into New Items And Earn Money For Their School!

Joe is a kindergarten teacher from New York City.  He wrote with this easy and practical suggestion that turns trash into useful items and earns funds for schools:

” A few years ago our class started collecting drink pouches that were finished during snack-time and can’t be recycled. We have been sending them to a company who turns the used pouches into tote bags, backpacks, pencil cases, etc. We started a few years ago and now our entire school is doing it!

Thousands of drink pouches have already been saved from the landfill and more are being collected each school day. What’s makes it even better is that our school earns money for each pouch collected.”
